Do you offer dairy free/ vegan options?
We always have at least 2 dairy free/vegan options at our shop. Our renowned chocolate sorbet is a Hometown Favorite and always available, and we have a rotating dairy free/vegan flavor that changes approximately every month.
Do you have gluten free options?
Most of our ice creams are gluten free. The exceptions are those that contain cookie or cake bits, but in the shop, we have clear ingredient labeling that show common allergens. When in doubt, you can always ask our friendly staff!
Do you do catering?
We do! Check out our catering page. There you can fill out a request form and we will provide you with a customized quote. We have various options and packages to choose from to satisfy different budgets and event sizes. Our vintage ice cream bus (a cherry red 1978 VW Westfalia), pushcarts, and self-serve options are all available for events ranging from birthday parties to festivals, and everything in between.
How do you handle severe allergies?
We take allergies very seriously. Aside from our ice cream labels being labeled to inform customers of allergenic ingredients, we have a strict protocol to use new scoops from fresh tubs that don’t run the risk of cross contamination. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask our staff.
Is your ice cream pasteurized?
Yes. It’s actually doubly pasteurized. Since we make our own ice cream base, we pasteurize every ice cream in house through a vat pasteurization method. We are licensed pasteurizers and are regulated by the State of California’s Department of Food and Agriculture. We also use pasteurized milk, cream and eggs when we make our base.
