Rocky Road to Happiness
Look, life can be tough. The universal goal of pursuing happiness can be made easier when you realize that happiness is not a destination but a journey, a process, a road if you will. Sometimes there are stumbling blocks in that road and sometimes there are homemade marshmallows, brownies and toasted almonds folded into chocolate ice cream. Life's always great when you keep finding great things along the way!
Sephardic Style Haroset
I think It's safe to say that Haroset is one of the favored dishes at the Seder during Passover. We turned a symbolic dish to remember the mortar and bricks used by the Hebrew slaves in Egypt, into something tasty. There are many ways to make it, but our version comes from a variation made by the (Sephardic) Jews of North Africa - We make Haroset: A mixture of shredded apples, toasted walnuts, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, kosher wine, dried dates, apricots and cranberries, and fold it into a cinnamon infused ice cream. It's Kosher for Passover too so grab a pint for your Seder!
Hibiscus Lime Sorbet
Talk about the brilliant colors of nature?! This naturally almost neon magenta sorbet will cool you down on a hot day, and light your fire on a gloomy one. Soft, tart, refreshing and bold, this one is a must try.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Sometimes it's just all about the basics y'all... Vanilla Ice Cream with Guittard Chocolate chips and dough from our scrumptious, prize winning chocolate chip cookies. Everything you need, nothing you don't.
When Chef Saadi lived in Buenos Aires, one of his favorite
afternoon delights was grabbing a few Alfajores, an espresso and watching the city go by either down Avenida 9 de Julio or in the Botanical Gardens. To share some of the Porteño culture he came up with the Alfajores ice cream flavor with home-made Alfajor cookies and Dulce de Leche (rich caramelized condensed milk) swirled into a base with brandy and toasted coconut flakes. Es re-bueno!
Fresh mint Chip
*It's BACK!!! After a little vacation that seemed like an eternity for our dedicated Mint lovers, it has returned and is now fresher, smoother and tastier than ever.*
When we say fresh, we mean FRESH! We use about 10 lbs of garden spearmint per batch and let it steep (Moroccan Style) in the base for a good bit of time to extract all that natural and minty goodness.
For dark chocolate lovers, Chef Saadi has made you a soul mate. Chocolate Sorbet. It's so beautiful... it's like when doves cry.
